Fun fact: baking is one of Zaddy’s favorite hobbies. Not only was he whipping up delicious cookies during quarantine (like millions of other people), but he even woke up at odd hours of the night to feed his sourdough “mother”— a habit that kind of freaked Colleen out tbh. Needless to say, the lad is serious about his biscuits, and has yet to slow down his baking roll in 2022.

Getting hungover sometimes feels inevitable this time of year—holiday cheer, more like holiday cheers (am I right?!).

Learn how to make this delicious concoction at home!

The team at Low Bar Oakland used our Gin(ger) Fizz to create a super tasty drink!

Summer 2021 is going ahead full throttle (suns out, guns out—more like no cough, mask off!), and because reading is one of our favorite beach season activities, we’re constantly looking for great book recs. So to kick-off the summer iteration of our Booze & Books series, and before Pride month officially wraps, we connected with author, playwright, and actor Brian Belovitch to get the scoop on some of his favorite LGBTQ+ reads.

Based on the shitshow that 2020 was, it felt kind of fitting that right off the bat the list of films nominated for the top prize at this year’s Academy Awards, overall, seemed pretty “meh” (for lack of a better term).

It’s no secret that the extreme isolation and social distancing over the past year has made actual IRL interactions pretty difficult. And as society starts to open up again, we’re all very much realizing just how socially inept we’ve become.

If you asked us to create a list of our favorite things, visual art and ramen would definitely both be in the top 5 (please don’t ask what the other 3 things are).

Valentine’s Day is finally here, and while we’re not really the “romantic” type, we’re super down with celebrating love (and eating hella chocolate).

Because we’re all dreaming of getting out of the house (especially now that California COVID-19 stay-at-home orders seem to have no end in sight), we thought it might be cathartic to revisit some of our favorite places we low-key cracked a Zaddy’s last year. Here’s some inspo for places in the Bay Area to look forward to cheers-ing at once it’s safe to do so. Remember to always pack out your trash!

As Turkey Day approaches and COVID-19 travel restrictions ramp up, it might finally be sinking in just how intimate Thanksgiving will be this year.

Here at Zaddy’s, we love scary movies. We’ll usually opt for a psychological thriller over body horror, but really we’ll watch it all.

The very first time I encountered a Gin and “Sonic” was with my dad. He claims that he coined the term with his buddy back in ’13, but upon doing a little research we found that wasn’t true—we’re still arguing with him about it to this day.

Many of us have had an episode where we are abruptly woken up and simultaneously whiplashed back into a reality of consequences and pain, peppered with vague memories that make you cringe, which in turn makes your head throb even more.

A few years ago, we got super into Gin Fizz cocktails. Don’t ask me why. Some of them didn’t even taste good. In fact, most of them didn’t taste good.
